| Integrated Compensation Implementation |
The strategy
How it is implemented
- an Integrated Comp coordinator is assigned to the employer to
- establish a primary treatment site
- assess the work site for work conditions and practices and make any indicated modifications
- train supervisors to handle injuries and direct the injured employee into the network
- set up claim procedures
- provide individual and aggregate reports about injuries and program performance
- provide consultation services including safety and loss prevention
- an Integrated Comp nurse case manager works with providers to ensure medical care is appropriate and to handle dispute resolution between providers and employers
- an Integrated Comp industrial claims specialist works the claims on a day to day basis and reports on diagnosis, prognosis and return-to-work status
- an Integrated Comp medical director develops medical protocols
